This modding guide is fairly straightforward and easy to follow, but the fact that you have to follow a guide or a video to mod it might turn off quite a few players. However, as with a lot of moddable games, it can be rather tiresome to mod and customize it properly. System Shock 2 has a very diverse and popular modding scene, both on the Nexus and ModDB. System Shock 2 mods Yesterday, Nightdive announced on Twitter that an Enhanced Edition of System Shock 2 is in development and coming soon. It’s an impressive back catalog of classics. Other major games remastered or re-released include Strife, Forsaken, Blood, Wizardry 6-8, I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream, Darklands, BloodNet, and dozens of minor releases.
In 2015, it also managed to remaster the original System Shock in an Enhanced Edition. System Shock 2 was one of the first games the publisher re-released. Nightdive Studios has been remastering and re-releasing classic titles since 2013.
